Tom Hardy, who plays the role of Eddie Brock in the soon-to-be trilogy of Venom films, has rooted the seed that he may be here to stay. Venom: The Last Dance, more established as “Venom 3,” heads to theaters here soon, which is seemingly going to cap the series off at least for now.
Speaking with IGN, though, Hardy isn’t oppose to stepping into the role again and that he’d play them “any time.” In the end, the (literally) one-in-the-same characters hold a special place in him to “operate those two characters wherever you put them in whatever capacity.”
The third flick will see Brock fleeing the military after the events of Venom 2 alongside introducing more symbiotes to the mix. Previously, Hardy joked around during New York Comic-Con expressing a passive interest to “fight Spider-Man right now” before walking back and then saying “never say never.”
It’s all-too-possible Venom 3 may be more of a jumping off point for Hardy to become more a staple in Sony’s line with later films in the works. After all, it’s not like it’s shy about making flicks based on the iconic villain library Spider-Man has; we’ve got Kraven the Hunter’s own movie on the way, after all.
Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25, 2024.
