It’s been a while since Lara Croft’s last adventure, even longer if you’re only counting console games rather than its Reloaded mobile title, but regardless, it’s still a hot commodity passing through a major sales milestone. Breaking through this milestone is no doubt partly due to the remasters of the first three games released earlier this year by Aspyr, sparking an interest in the IP again.
On Twitter, Crystal Dynamics revealed the news. The studio followed it up with a blog post expressing its appreciation as well some new nifty things for all those Croft fans.
Beyond the 100 million milestone, Crystal Dynamics revealed Tomb Raider 4 through Angel of Darkness is getting the same Aspyr treatment from earlier this year. Additionally, it took time to remind people of Netflix’s Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, which is available to stream now. It also teased the Dark Horse-made PVC statue, which you can pre-order now. There are also sales across both the games and partners like Dead by Daylight.
Nothing new has come out yet about the next mainline Tomb Raider game, which will have Amazon at the helm of publishing.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered released earlier this year, with Smash Jump’s Luke Gittens saying: “The nostalgia is there, and the features of the original trilogy are all placed into this neatly designed package, waiting for you as the player to explore its contents.”
