Following the relative success of Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Aspyr is looking to the next group of games and looking to boost its allure.
Speaking with GamingBolt, Aspyr’s Matthew Ray says the game will run at 4K on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, the Series S does see a dip in its overall performance, allowing for 1440p resolution with 60 FPS.
It’s a great thing that it’s going to meet some high targets, considering it shouldn’t have much issue doing so, what with this being a remaster of some legacy games. Granted, Aspyr’s track record is a bit… spotty, what with the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection. But, with its previous Tomb Raider game, it did hit the mark.
In our review, we said: “To sum things up, I would say that this remaster was extremely well done with the attention to detail and the overall love paid off to the Tomb Raider franchise and its fans in order to produce this as its masterpiece. It’s a welcome improvement that both new and old players can find something to enjoy, and what returning players can come back to in order to fall in love with the series once again.”
