PlayStation’s first event of 2024 is expected to come within a few weeks, however, the exact date is still unknown.
Journalist Jeff Grubb revealed this during a podcast by Giant Bomb, adding that fans should nonetheless temper their expectations as nothing is yet confirmed.
An early 2024 State of Play should come as no surprise. Xbox already announced the Developer Direct event coming January 18, noting on its newswire that it’s gonna feature presentations of the much-anticipated Indiana Jones, Hellblade II, Ara, and Avowed. Grubb also revealed during the podcast that a Nintendo direct will “almost certainly” take place sometime in February, although the big “N” hasn’t yet officially revealed anything.
The PS release schedule for January, February, and March also includes some of the most anticipated titles of 2024, like Helldivers 2 releasing February 8, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launching February 29, and Rise of the Ronin coming out March 22. As such, Sony won’t be far behind in revealing their upcoming State of Play date.
