Starfield has surpassed 14 million players ahead of its upcoming DLC, Shattered Space. The space-faring action RPG failed to garner the expected critical success of other Bethesda Game Studios titles.
Speaking with MrMattyPlays, game director and Bethesda figure head, Todd Howard, spilled the beans that it’s surpassed 14 million players, meaning it’s seen improvements since last year. In no small part, the improved player count is a result of a good portion of updates the Maryland-based studio has earmarked for the game. Meanwhile, it also has paid DLC with Shattered Space, which seems to add additional content and be rather sizable in its scope.
Digging deeper, Howard also unveiled that on average, its play time is 40 hours per player, which we don’t think we need to say is pretty impressive overall, much more so from a game with such a divided reputation among gamers.
