Recently updated games usually see player numbers increase in the first few weeks of a sizable update. Palworld: Feybreak has caused the game shoot back up to the top of Steam charts once again.
When the game initially released back in January, popularity swept over the game in a way no one could imagine. The all-time peak for Palworld’s player count currently sits at over two million concurrent players on Steam. That is a lot of players. Unfortunately, we do not have player numbers for consoles. But regardless, SteamDB numbers have Palworld surging back to near the top of concurrent player counts among all current games.
The new update brought Palworld’s numbers back up to a 24-hour peak of over 200,000 concurrent players. Feybreak brings a lot of new content to the game. It is the most sizable addition to the game we have seen since launch. It adds 23 new pals for players to interact with, as well as new gear, new buildings, abilities, and even some more bosses to battle as well.
Palworld developers Pocketpair should keep developing new updates like this for the game. There clearly seems to be interest among fans of the game to come back and play more when new large updates come out.
Smash Jump’s Julian Barber said even in its Early Access state, it “far exceeded the expectations” he had. He also said: “The exploration can feel challenging but fair, and the rewarding feeling you get from leveling up your base or catching a Pal with an extremely low catch rate is amazing.”
Players can pick up Palworld and play now on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and PlayStation 5.
