Publisher Devolver Digital recently released more information regarding Cult of the Lamb’s upcoming update Unholy Alliance. New details include information on local co-op, new follower traits, and more.
On the official PlayStation Blog, Devolver Digital released new details about Unholy Alliance, Cult of the Lamb’s next update, which was announced during the previous Devolver Direct. The update is set to launch on August 12.
Devolver Digital starts the article by detailing the new local co-op mode. In said mode, it states that the titular Lamb character will be joined by the Goat, which is the new character reserved for player two. It also states that facets of the game such as certain minigames have been changed to now fit the co-op mode.
It also reveals new information on new follower traits that will come to the game with the update. Some of the new traits detailed include followers becoming insomniacs, prison breakers, and more.
“These are just a few of the new follower traits in the Unholy Alliance update, which will make your flock a true cult of personality. As the cult grows and more followers join its ranks, even more quirks, flaws, and eccentricities will emerge. If you thought they were a handful before, you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
Continuing on, Devolver Digital mentions that two new structures will come to the game. These structures being the nursery and the Knucklebones arena. The structures will allow for more efficient baby care and for the player to play Knucklebones with a follower once a day respectively.
In addition, it details new relics and tarot cards that will come to the game, with some being specifically tailored for co-op. These include the Ashes of the Mercurial Mun relic and the Rivals tarot card, among others. It states that the relic centers around explosions and the card doubles players damage if players are fighting with considerable distance between them.
Finally, It states that the update will also include quality of life improvements as well as brand new quests.
