Originally released on the Nintendo 3DS, a remaster of Monster Hunter Stories is coming in Summer 2024.
Announced on the official Capcom YouTube channel on Wednesday, a remaster of Monster Hunter Stories is going to be released in sometime in that timeframe. The game was originally released in 2016 on the 3DS, but will be receiving a remastered version on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Steam. No word has been given on an Xbox version yet.
Along with the trailer, Capcom released a website for the new remaster detailing the game along with some of the new features. The new features include the game now being fully voiced in English and Japanese, a museum mode showcasing things like concept art, and all updates from the original game being included at launch. The game is also said to have refined visuals.
Monster Hunter Stories is an RPG take on the Monster Hunter series that is reminiscent, in some aspects, to Pokémon. We hope the remaster proves to be an exciting return for fans of the original and a new adventure for newcomers.
“In Monster Hunter Stories, you not only fight monsters, you make friends with them. Step into the shoes of Monster Riders, create bonds with monsters and turn a variety of creatures into your Monsties as you set out on a grand adventure!”
