Life is Strange: Double Exposure might be setting up for a sequel, if leaks are to be believed. The game is apparently out in the wild ahead of its actual release, so be wary of spoilers.
As reported by Insider Gaming, Life is Strange: Double Exposure revisits Max Caulfield, who hasn’t been in the series since the game kicked off back in 2015, with Deck Nine at the helm following its February layoff spree. This latest outing isn’t quite one where you’ll need to play the previous games, it seems, but it does hark back to previous entries.
A Reddit post, which for the sake of saving spoilers, we will not link to, broke down the ending and asserted the likelihood that the team is working on a direct sequel or at the very least a DLC tied to Double Exposure. Of course, this is all rumors, but it’s also wroth noting that Life is Strange is a powerful IP that Square Enix has not squandered, so saying there will be a sequel isn’t this massive revelation, but it is still something to note if it’s a direct sequel as we may continue the story of Max.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure is releasing to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 29 with a Nintendo Switch version coming later down the line.
