The retro gaming scene continues to thrive with many still wanting to get use of their legacy hardware. Bitmap Soft and its subsidiary Pheonix Ware get that and have announced Cel Story, a brand-new game heading to the Game Boy next month.
In a press release, it was revealed the game will follow a stranded insomnia-addled hero as they venture forth through a planet they crash landed on, collecting pieces to repair their ship in order to escape this mysterious — and largely hostile — planet, racing against time to find a way off. Throughout your journey you will learn more about this hero and their past.
Cel Story is compatible with the original Game Boy, as well as the GB Color and Advance systems, and the Analogue Pocket. It’ll be available on January 6 through Pheonix Ware’s store and will come bundled with a cartridge, a box, and an instruction manual for around $57 (£45). If you’re invested in Nintendo’s systems of old, this might be looking into.
