Last month, it was revealed that Rocksteady would be halting development of future Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League content after Season 4. Well, Season 4’s final update has dropped.
Going into a deep dive, Rocksteady details what to expect from the last bit of content. Obviously, it introduces another Set, this being Libra Infamy Set, which introduces a high-risk-high-reward system by a 50% increase of damage dealt to and damage by enemies based on your Scales of Libra stack. Three new Notorious Weapons are also getting introduced, which also connect to the Scales of Libra stack.
Episode 8 also marks the conclusion of the game’s post-launch story, concluding with a battle against Brainiac. It also sees the game open itself up to offline play from now on. The online features will remain operational for the time, and while it gives no sign of shutting down, we all know the deal with failed live service projects, especially when it forced Warner Bros. to admit that it failed.
In our review, we said: “Overall, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League featured some of the best third-person shooting gameplay in recent years. But paired with a lackluster story and draining live service elements, it failed to hit any of the marks expected by such a high-profile IP and developer.”
