On Tuesday, FromSoftware released a post on their official X account for the game that practically caught everyone off-guard with the timing. After that, it was safe to say that the internet went crazy with anticipation.
Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC has long been awaited for by fans of the franchise. But it was never clear as to exactly when it would release, nor the specifics of anything else, leaving fans to once again speculate. This is where the trailer would typically come in, but even that was left ambiguous as to its release date, until now.
There’s a lot to unpack from this trailer to perhaps speculate on for a long time until the actual release. But overall, it can conclusively be said that this DLC will be centered around one of the main characters, Miquella, and the new land of “Shadow” showcased.
New weapons, armor sets, standard enemies, bosses, and more were displayed with the usual FromSoftware art design and new, epic orchestral music to boot. The actual trailer itself averaged at about three minutes in total, but left an abundance of details within that short period of time. The official release date was also given for June 21.

Players can now pre-order the DLC on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Pre-orders will additionally give the bonus gesture, “Ring Of Miquella.” The Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition is also available for purchase.
