That’s right — the latest trailer for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO from the Budokai Tenkaichi series has just hit the internet in a frenzy.
The main focus of the latest trailer marks “Goku VS Vegeta” in their eternal rivalry that proves to be just as heated as ever. Briefly, it also showcases some other beloved characters in very short segments, giving the viewer a tease for what’s to come of the character roster. Previously, the announcement trailer was all that was shown at the Game Awards last year in promotion of the newest installment to the franchise.
It was short, sweet, and, most importantly, filled to the brim with tons of action that was expected from long-time fans of the original series. Moreover, now that this new trailer has been revealed, the series has never looked better.
At the beginning, there’s a strong highlight towards the iconic Saiyan saga that many who either watched the anime or played the games would be more than accustomed to. It leaves a sense of nostalgia for those who would have taken the series to heart. As the two continue to brawl, they venture through various settings to battle in, while also showcasing their transformations from different time periods going head-to-head against one another.
The gameplay shown provides a much more satisfactory look at the spectacular visual effects and immersive battle locations that just add to the grand spectacle of the Tenkaichi series, shifting to stage classics like Namek, Wastelands, Islands, and more.
Overall, the new trailer serves as a great testament of time on how an older series of games can continue to shine even within the modern era of gaming. As things progress closer to an eventual release date, we can only hope that things remain successful for the future of this game at launch.
