As is the trend with some of the latest games (or updated) featuring arachnids, Activision has set its sights on introducing an Arachnophobia Mode, letting players toggle off the creepy crawlies… but there’s a catch. It’s kinda horrifying.
In a blog post detailing its accessibility features, it touched on this mode for its Zombies modes. While the feature is more than welcome, especially if players suffer from a more severe case of the phobia, we’re not sure just slicing off the legs make it any better.
With the mode turned on, the creature looks to just hover with a jagged-toothed grin. Frankly, likely for many gamers, they’d likely just take the phobia in a mode that’s supposed to be creepy anyway.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which will be less of a strain on console storage. Meanwhile, things seem promising, with our preview of its multiplayer stating that it “deserves a fair chance.”
Black Ops 6 releases October 25 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and PS5.
