Cloud Chamber, the development studio behind the new highly anticipated entry in the BioShock franchise, seems to be intensifying their development of the game by hiring new team members .
According to its website, the studio is hiring “like mad” for their San Francisco Bay and Montreal locations. Currently, the website lists several open positions for various departments such as art, core tech, production, writing, and design.
The website also describes that the team is “hard at work” on the next BioShock title. A senior cinematic designer on the team, Jeff Spoonhower, said on LinkedIn that the studio is “ramping up” development hence the call for new employees.
The new studio, headed by Kelley Gilmore, a previous executive producer for Firaxis (Civilization series), was announced to be working on the next BioShock title back in 2019. Since then, there has not been much news or announcements regarding the title.
In 2022, Netflix announced that it was partnering with 2K to bring a Bioshock film to the streaming service. Director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend, Hunger Games) has been attached to lead the film. As of yet, there has been no other reveals regarding the film.
