Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake 2 has surpassed 1.8 million units sold since its debut last year. Back in August, we understood the game recouped most of its costs.
Remedy revealed the sales of the game during its annual Capital Markets Day, its new sales number is up a pretty noticeable chunk since last we heard back in February.
News from our Capital Markets day:🔦 Alan Wake 2 has sold over 1.8M units🔻 Control Ultimate Edition will release on Mac February 12th 2025💥 Control 2 will be an action RPG🎁 Control will receive a free update in early 2025, unlocking some previously released content🔎 https://buff.ly/4eCBQEU
Even still, the game feels like it’s lagging behind what it could do were it elsewhere than just the Epic Games Store on PC. To be clear, though, 1.8 million sold isn’t anything to scoff at, either.
The game has welcomed a wealth of acclaim, including its DLC, The Lake House, which released last month. Smash Jump’s Nicole Rodriguez-Galdo said in her review of the DLC: “Filled to the brim with fun references and teaser moments for Control 2, Lake House is the perfect experience for Remedy fans.”
