Over the last few years, Embracer Group has been on a wild rampage of layoffs and studio closures, or simply divesting, meaning these studios are not completely dead, but instead are no longer under the hold of the Sweden-based holdings company.
In the past two years alone, Embracer has shuttered, divested, or sold 12 studios. While the likes of Shiver Entertainment or Gearbox had a happy ending with new parents, others aren’t so lucky, with many ending up with dead projects.
