Nintendo has dropped a new trailer for the upcoming Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD release, slated for late June, which happens to be the same month of the next Nintendo Direct. Despite aging hardware and the confirmed next generation of Nintendo consoles heading our way, the Big N isn’t gonna stop providing new games for the hybrid handheld.
The new trailer on YouTube sets up the story, giving us a look at the in-game intro. Much like the original, you’ll be tasked with collecting fragments of the Dark Moon after it was shattered by King Boo. For one reason or another, this led to the peaceful ghosts of Evershade Valley to turn to mischievous behavior that must be stopped. With help of the Poltergust 5000 and the aid of trusty Professor E. Gadd, Luigi’s looking to jump back into this adventure in glorious modern graphics.
This remake will come at the heels of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which is having its own bout of controversy ahead of its launch later this month. After that, though, Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD hits store shelves on June 27.
