Assassin’s Creed Shadows looks to be eyeing a spot at the Nintendo Switch 2 table. Of course, it’s not too surprising, but Ubisoft wasn’t among the confirmed third-parties bringing its games to the platform.
Taking a look at the PEGI website (via Eurogamer), Assassin’s Creed Shadows is listed for a Nintendo Switch 2 version. We don’t think we need to tell you that Ubisoft has yet to confirm a Switch 2 version of the Japan-set open world adventure.
It’s possible this is a mistake, but at the same time, it’s hard to really say that Ubisoft wouldn’t support Nintendo’s next console, considering the obvious power boost the Switch 2 offers compared to its previous offering, allowing for bigger, better games to run on the hardware.
In our review, Adrian Cozmuta said: “Assassin’s Creed Shadows delivers one of the best entries in the series. It incrementally refines the Ubisoft open-world formula and impresses with its characters and world-building, outstanding presentation, revamped and distinct combat, and stable console performance. There are several flaws, including storytelling and pacing, unbalanced protagonist gameplay, and some outdated traversal mechanics which stop Shadows from reaching its full potential.”
