Dubbed Minecraft Spicewood, or Project Spicewood, this new project from Mojang seems to be a sequel to its short-lived Minecraft Dungeons. The game has been in development for two years.
As leaked by X0XLeak on Twitter (via Insider Gaming), Minecraft Spicewood will feature a trio of new locations with various points of interest. These being Honeycomb Fields, Desert, and Forest.
Of course, due to it being a sequel to the 2020 dungeon crawler, we can expect it will follow a similar action adventure formula.
In case you’ve forgotten about Minecraft Dungeons, it was a dungeon crawler Mojang and Double Eleven pushed out, it net generally positive praise for its visuals and music, but also had others unhappy with how simple it was and its procedural generation. The game was in continued support until September 2023 when support was axed.
