Dragon Age: The Veilguard just released Patch 5 and from the looks of things, it’s gonna be its last. To be frank, it’s not too surprising as the game failed to meet sales expectations within EA and BioWare.
The recently dropped patch notes shares a number of bug fixes, but what is really damning is in its first paragraph before the patch notes itself. As Eurogamer points out, “Dareth shiral” means “farewell” in Dragon Age’s Elvish language.
Now, to give some potential hope that this isn’t the end of a game that just came out last year, this might just be its cheeky way of saying “bye” before sharing the patch notes. That said, this is only giving a charitable interpretation.
In our review, we said: “Essentially, playing this game was a little bit of an up and down type of experience. I loved it, and then next thing I knew I wouldn’t. Gameplay was so solid, I really enjoyed running around and exploring and fighting hordes of enemies. But then my companions would talk, and I would be right back to realizing I did not like them that much.”
