PlayStation is celebrating its 30-year anniversary with something big.
In a recent post on the official PlayStation Blog, Hideaki Nishino, the CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, announced the new PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection. The main event is the limited edition console, which utilizes the original PlayStation color design and integrates it with the latest PS5 technology.
“We believe the beginning of our journey is an important part of our history at Sony Interactive Entertainment, which is why we are honoring this moment by bringing the original PlayStation design theme into the latest products for PS5 to commemorate the last 30 years. As we look ahead to the future, we will continue to innovate as technology evolves, so you can enjoy each memorable moment in your continued journey with PlayStation.”
The PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection will be sold in two bundles, one featuring the PS5 Pro Console and the other including the PS5 Digital Edition. Along with their respective consoles, both bundles also contain special collector’s items.
The collection will be released on November 21. There will be a limited supply with only 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro Console bundle for sale.
