Ubisoft’s next entry to its long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise revealed 13 minutes of gameplay, giving players a good grasp of what to expect. As promised, the game will be divided into two characters with vastly different skillsets.
During the recent Ubisoft Forward, which was earmarked to reveal gameplay for the Feudal Japan-set AC game, 13 minutes of gameplay was shown split up between the combat-focused samurai Yasuke and stealth-centered shinobi Naoe. Players are certainly mixed between the game, while some see the stealth as a major improvement, others are fearing it will be second to the more guns-blazing style of Yasuke.
Set for a November 15 release date, players who bought its higher tier editions can expect a new mission, character skins packs, and a Photo Mode filter for its Ultimate Edition purchasers. Oh yeah, and we can’t forget that an internet connection will be required to install the game. Despite this, pre-orders are apparently “strong” and we expect it will only get stronger with the gameplay reveal.
We do hope that the game strikes a good balance between Yasuke’s club combat and Naoe’s stealth action, but it’s Ubisoft we’re talking about, so we never know what to expect. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will launch on November 15, 2024.
